Blog Post: My Visit to Ukumarí Zoo in Pereira

Category: Travel and Experiences

Last year, I had the opportunity to visit Ukumarí Zoo in Pereira, Colombia. It was a very interesting and educational experience that helped me practice my English while learning about animals and nature.

When I arrived at the zoo, I was surprised by how natural and well-organized the place was. The animals were in large spaces that looked similar to their natural habitats. I saw many different animals such as lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, monkeys, birds, and reptiles.

One of my favorite moments was watching the giraffes. They were very tall and calm, and I learned interesting facts about their behavior and diet. I also enjoyed seeing the birds because of their colors and sounds.

During the visit, I read information signs in English and Spanish, which helped me learn new vocabulary related to animals, habitats, and conservation. I also listened to explanations about how the zoo protects endangered species and educates people about environmental care.

This experience helped me understand the importance of respecting animals and protecting nature. Visiting Ukumarí Zoo was not only a fun trip but also a valuable learning experience that improved my English skills and my awareness of wildlife conservation.

📌 Blog Post: My Cat Tammy and What She Has Taught Me

Family and Pets

One important part of my life is my pet cat, Tammy. She is a small and playful cat, but also very calm and affectionate. Having Tammy has been a special experience that has taught me responsibility and patience.

Tammy enjoys sleeping in warm places and playing with small toys around the house. She is very curious and always observes everything that happens around her. When I come home after a long day, she is usually waiting for me, which makes me feel relaxed and happy.

Taking care of Tammy has helped me improve my daily routine. I learned how to be more organized and attentive, especially when it comes to feeding her and keeping her environment clean. Through this experience, I have also learned new English vocabulary related to pets, food, and animal care.

My cat Tammy is more than just a pet; she is part of my family. Writing and reading about my pet in English has helped me practice the language in a meaningful and personal way.
